Lava Z61 Android 8.1 Go Smartphone with 18:9 Display, 3000mAh Battery Launched

Lava Mobiles during the MWC event earlier this year launched its first Android Go edition smartphone in India, today, the firm has introduced its second smartphone with identical OS features in the same region. The Z61 as called, runs Android 8.1 Oreo Go, which is a minute variant of the Android operating system optimized for low-specd devices.

In terms of specs, the Z61 features a 5.45-inch HD+ 18:9 display and is powered by a quad-core chipset. It comes in 1GB and 2GB RAM models, both coupled with 16GB of expandable storage. An 8MP camera is equipped at the rear, while it sports a 5MP front camera for video calling and selfie. The Z61 is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.

The 1GB RAM model of the smartphone is priced at Rs 5,750 ($86) and will be available later this month. The 2GB RAM version is expected to launch in August, pricing will be announced then.
