Sony Xperia XA2 with Snapdragon 630, 23MP Camera, Android 8.0 Goes Official

Sony has announced an upgraded version of its Xperia XA smartphone that was launched during 2016 MWC event, named Xperia XA2. This comes with a larger 5.5-inch display with a more brilliant Full HD resolution when compared with its predecessor. Also, it is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and not MediaTek as found in the former.

It runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and sports a fingerprint sensor at the back. Moving on, the phone harbors a 23MP wide-angle camera at the rear with LED flash, and there is also an 8MP wide-angle camera at the front for selfie. It lacks waterproof feature unlike other Xperia phones. Sony is offering the phone in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage version only.

The Xperia XA2 will be available in Black, Blue, Pink, and Silver colors when it launches in select markets in coming weeks. No details on its pricing.

Few weeks after the official debuts, Sony has finally revealed the availability and pricing details of its Xperia XA2 smartphone for U.S market. The phone costs $349.99 and it will be out for purchase from February 16. Best Buy will also be selling the Xperia XA2 in the U.S.
