Swipe Elite VR with Free Virtual Reality Headset Debuts at $67

Swipe Elite VR

The India technology firm Swipe, today launched a pocket-friendly VR compatible smartphone in India under its Elite portfolio called Elite VR. The phone comes bundled with a VR headset despite its mud price of Rs 4,499 ($67).

Specwise, it features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280x720 pixel. Under the hood is a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor running at a speed of 1.3GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM while Mali-T720 handles the graphics. An 8GB of storage included with the phone can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

There is dual SIM slots onboard as usual for dual usage, but disappointingly, the Elite VR runs the dated Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box with no words on Nougat update. A 13-megapixel camera is equipped at the rear for photography and a 5-megapixel camera at the front for selfie. The rear camera is accompanied with a LED flash.

The Elite VR is available exclusively on e-commerce site Shopclues starting today. It comes in Gold, Black, White, and Red colors.
