$100 Coolpad Defiant Heads to U.S T-Mobile with Android 7.0 Nougat

Coolpad Defiant

"Defiant" is Coolpad latest smartphone that has just headed to the United States and is arriving exclusively on T-Mobile. The Android 7.0 Nougat phone is labelled with an attractive price tag by sacrificing decent specs for what we would called below average in terms of build and performance.

This is not really a bold-face phone for driving multiple high-level apps and games, but rather a soft-hearted to keep your high-end smartphone accompanied as opposed to its naming.

In terms of specifications, it features a 5.0-inch capacitive touch display with FWVGA (854x480) resolution. Under the hood, it is powered by an unspecified quad-core processor (probably Snapdragon 425) clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM. An 8GB of storage resides inside which can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

At the rear, the Coolpad Defiant is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, while a 2-megapixel camera sits at the front besides the proximity and ambient light sensor for selfie and video-calling. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and Micro-USB. It measures 144.5x71.1x10.1mm, weighs 184.3 grams, and is backed by a 2450mAh battery.

The Coolpad Defiant is up for grab on T-Mobile for US$100 off-contract or for US$4 per month on two years contract.
