Micromax Canvas 2 (2017) with 3GB RAM, Android Nougat Launched

Micromax has introduced Canvas 2 (2017) in India, successor to the 2012 model with improved display, slimmer body design and lots more. It features a 5-inch IPS capacitive display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixel, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

A 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.3GHz powered it on the inside, paired with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Also included is a 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

The Canvas 2 (2017) runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. A fingerprint sensor is placed beneath the physical home button of the device for smart security and it also comes with two dedicated SIM slots with dual-Standby. In optics, it harbors a 13-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear with a single LED flash, while a 5-megapixel selfie camera is equipped at the front.

The phone offers 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi with Hotspot, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. It is turned on by a 3,050mAh non-removable Li-ion battery.

The new Micromax Canvas 2 (2017) is up for grab for Rs 11,999 (US$180) starting today in India. It comes in Black color option only.
