The India-based phone maker Intex, has launched a new budget smartphone in India under its "Aqua" series named Aqua 5.1+. The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports 4G VoLTE just like its predecessor, Aqua 5.1, that was released in August last year.

The phone features a 5-inch IPS display with a pixel resolution of 854x480 and pixel density of 196ppi. A quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832A processor clocked at 1.3GHz powered it on the inside, coupled with 1GB oh RAM and Mali 400 GPU. It also includes an 8GB of internal storage, this can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

In optics, the new Aqua Strong 5.1+ bears a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with a single LED flash, while a 2-megapixel camera sits at the front for video-calling. Apart from 4G VoLTE, other connectivity options included with the device are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It measures 143.1×72.1×10.1mm, weighs 140.6 grams, and is backed by a 2,000mAh removable Li-ion battery.

The Intex Aqua Strong 5.1+ (or Aqua Strong 5.1 Plus) carries a price tag of Rs 5,490 (US$81). It will be available in Gold and Black colors when it go on sale.
