Intex has launched Aqua HD 5.5, the company's latest low-cost smartphone in the Aqua series in India. Measuring 154x77.2x10.5mm, the phone features a 5.5-inch IPS display as its name suggest with a HD resolution of 1280x720 and pixel density of 267ppi. A quad-core MediaTek MT6580w processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz drive it on the inside, slammed with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard that can be expanded via MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and comes with two SIM slots, both of which supports 3G but lacks 4G LTE. In photography, the Aqua HD 5.5 sports dual 5-megapixel cameras, one equipped at the rear and the other at the front. The rear camera is accompanied with dual-LED flash while the front camera also boast a single LED flash.

Besides 3G, other connectivity options included are Bluetooth, WiFi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2800mAh battery.

The Intex Aqua HD 5.5 is priced at Rs 5,637 ($84 USD). It will be available in Blue and Champagne colours when it go on sale.
