Lava P7+ with 5" HD display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow, 3G Launched

Lava P7 Plus

Lava today has introduced a new low-budget smartphone in India. The P7+ as named is an upgraded version and successor of P7 that was launched earlier this year. The phone is listed on the firm website with specs and pricing while availability details is not revealed.

Measuring 143.5x71.8x8.9mm, the P7+ features a 5.0-inch IPS 2.5D curved glass display with HD (1280x720) resolution, but misses on Gorilla Glass protection its predecessor boasts of. Diving in, it is driven by an unspecified quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 1GB of RAM. There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

As usual, the P7+ comes with two SIM slots with support of 3G but lacks 4G LTE. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, this can be consider as an upgrade when compares with Android 5.1 Lollipop that governs its predecessor . The phone houses an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens, also accompanied with a LED flash. Other connectivity options included apart from 3G are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The Lava P7 Plus is priced at Rs 5,499 ($82 USD) and should be available in coming days.
