Intex, not excluding itself out of VR marathon that top tech industries are engaging and battling with right now, has launched a new VR-ready affordable smartphone under its Aqua series called Aqua View. It comes bundled with Google Cardboard-like Virtual Reality headset, Intex Eyelet, with 34mm lens and support of up to 6-inch display.

The phone features a 5-inch IPS 2.5D curved display with HD resolution of 1280x720 pixels and 294ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The Intex Aqua View runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, and offers dual SIM functionality with dual standby. Sitting at the back is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is equipped at the front for taking selfie. There is also a fingerprint sensor placed below the display for smart security and authentication.

Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi with Hotspot, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. The phone measures 124 x 64 x 10.3mm and weight 146 grams. It is backed by a 2200mAh battery.

The Aqua View will be available at selected stores in India in coming days at a price of Rs 8999 ($135 USD).
