Sharp has launched Aquos Xx3, the company's latest flagship in Japan. Wrapped in an aluminum frame and sporting hard coated back panel, the smartphone features a 5.3-inch IGZO S-PureLED 2.5D curved display with full-HD (1920x1080) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, slammed with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. There is a 32GB of built-in storage onboard that can be further expanded up to 200GB via MicroSD card.

The Sharp Aquos Xx3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with single SIM (nano) functionality. Notably, it is waterproof and dustproof, which earns it a respectable IPX5, IPX8 and IP5X ratings. In addition, it sports a fingerprint sensor for smart security and authentication. Sitting at the rear is a 22.6-megapixel camera with CMOS sensor, f/1.9 aperture, Optical Image Stabilization and LED flash, capable of recording 4K video, while a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera is placed at the front for taking selfie. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE + VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11ac (dual band + MU-MIMO), 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and NFC.

It is backed by a 3000mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. Sharp claims the battery can deliver up to 620 hours of standby time in 3G. However, there is no word on its pricing and availability.
