Along with Bolt Selfie launched earlier today, Micromax also introduced Canvas Selfie 4, an upgraded version and successor of Canvas Selfie 3 released in August last year. Also aimed at selfie fans, the smartphone features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touch display with HD (1280x720) resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified), coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. The storage however is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

Notable, the Canvas Selfie 4 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, and also sports a smart Tap Sensor at the back that enables users to take pictures in one finger gesture. The sensor when double tap can also be use to pick incoming calls. As usual, there are two SIM slots onboard for dual use. Sitting at the back is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while a secondary 8-megapixel camera is equipped at the front for taking selfie, as its name already suggest.

The device miss on 4G LTE but it supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The Canvas Selfie 4 is expected to go on sale later this month, but there is no word on pricing yet. Its official picture is amiss as well. We'll update it when we get our hands on one.
