Micromax today has added a new smartphone to its Canvas line-up in India dubbed Canvas Evok E483. The device features a 5.5-inch IPS 2.5D display with HD (1280x720) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It offers dual-SIM functionality with dual-standby, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Diving in, the phone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, slammed with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard, which is further expandable up to 64GB via MicroSD card. Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with twin-LED flash, while a secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera is equipped at the front for selfie. In connectivity aspect, the Canvas Evok supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Evok will be exclusively available on e-commerce site Flipkart starting from 17th of May (Tuesday) at a price of Rs 8,499 ($127 USD). It comes in Black colour option only.
