Lenovo has announced a new gaming laptop under its Ideapad series at the ongoing CES event in Las Vegas named Ideapad Y900, running Windows 10 out-of-the-box. Though it skipped on optical disk drive which has a positive impact on its overall weight and body profile, the device has a customizable lightning keyboard and sports dual 2W JBL speakers and three subwoofers. The subwoofers are further optimize with Dolby Home Theater technology for best experience during game play.

Specwise, the Ideapad Y900 features a 17.3-inch anti-glare full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. It is powered by a sixth-generation Intel Skylake i7 processor coupled with up to 8GB of GDDR5 RAM and NVIDIA GTX 980M GPU. The RAM is expandable up to 64GB, thanks to its four separate slots. The laptop comes up to 512GB SSD and 1TB HDD SATA 3 storage options.

In connectivity aspect, the Ideapad Y900 offers Wifi, 3x USB 3.0 ports, USB 3.1 port, USB Type-C, USB 2.0 port, Thunderbolt 3 and DisplayPort. It is fuelled by a 6-cell 90Wh battery.

The device is priced at $1,999 USD and will be available from Q2 2016.
