Intex Aqua Air II Affordable 3G Smartphone with 5" Display Unveiled

The India phone manufacturer, Intex, has unveiled a new affordable smartphone, Aqua Air II, in India, priced at Rs 4,690 ($70 USD). The device is listed on the company website along with its specifications while availability details is not revealed.

The Intex Aqua Air II features a 5-inch IPS display with FWVGA (854x480 pixels) resolution. It offers dual SIM functionality and runs the now-dated Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Under the hood, it is driven by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572W processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz, slammed with 1GB of RAM.

There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard with external storage support via MicroSD card (up to 32GB). At the rear, the Aqua Air II packs a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash, while there is a VGA camera at the front for video calling. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2300mAh battery. Intex claims the battery can deliver up to 6 hours of talk time on 2G.
