Acer Chromebook 11 (CB3-131)

Besides its Windows 10 powered Aspire Switch 12 S convertible tablet, Acer also launched a new Chrome-powered laptop dubbed Chromebook 11 (CB3-131). It is made of a tough solid material for durability and protection against external forces. According to Acer, the device can withstand up to 60kg of downward force on the lid. The corners can also tolerate up to 60cm drops without damage. Despite its solidity and tough nature however, the laptop is still able to maintain a mere thickness of 18.6mm and weight just 1.1kg.

In terms of specifications, the Chromebook 11 features a 11.6-inch HD (1366 x 728 pixel) non-glare display with Acer Comfyview technology that protect against eye strain. It is driven by an Intel Celeron processor and comes in two variants, 2GB RAM with 16GB storage and 4GB RAM with 32GB storage. The notebook offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11ac (dual-band), HDMI port, USB 3.0 port, USB 2.0 port, and SD card reader as connectivity options.

The Acer Chromebook 11 CB3-131 can deliver up to 9 hours of use in single charge, the company claims. It will be available in United States from February at a starting price of $179.99. Other regions are expected to follow.
