Intex Launches Aqua Star 4G With 5" HD Display, Android 5.1 Lollipop

Having launched a new 4G smartphone, Aqua GenX, yesterday, Intex has again added a new 4G enabled phone to its portfolio in India called Aqua Star 4G. The device is priced at Rs 6,499 ($97 USD) and will be available starting from next week.

The Aqua Star 4G is the fourth smartphone in Intex Aqua Star family. It features a 5-inch IPS touchscreen display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixel, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. A quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1.0GHz powered it on the inside, coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. It houses an 8GB built-in storage that can be expanded via MicroSD card.

In photograpy aspect, the Aqua Star 4G is equipped with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.4 aperture at the rear, accompanied with a LED flash, while it harbours a 2-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options onboard besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 3G HSPA+, 2G, GPS, Micro-USB and FM radio. It is backed by a 2000mAh battery.

Intex is also touting a new functionality called iData Saver, powered by Opera Max, that automatically compress webpage during browsing to save to data.
