Infinix Zero 3 X552 With 20.7MP Camera, Helio X10 Chipset Goes Official

Infinix has officially launched Zero 3 X552, its first high-end smartphone in 2015. The wraps was took off at an event organized by the firm in Lagos, Nigeria yesterday. Though its pricing is yet to be reveal, the device is expected to start shipping in January next year.

The Infinix Zero 3 X552 is a more powerful variant and successor of Zero 2 X509 released by the company in June. It features a 5.5-inch IPS touchscreen display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 400ppi. Which is quite an upgrade from 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display on its predecessor. Also, the display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 against scratch. Diving in, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU, the likes which is seen on other flagships like HTC One M9e, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Meizu MX5, LeTV Le 1s just to mention few.

The Zero 3 X552 comes in two storage versions, 16GB and 32GB, both of which are expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. It offers dual SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box with no word on Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Another aspect where Zero 3 excel is photography, it packs a 20.7-megapixel camera with Sony IMX230 sensor at the rear, accompanied with twin-LED flash, while it sports a 5-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfie. The rear camera can record video in 4K resolution and the front camera in full-HD (1080p).

The device is 4G LTE Cat.4 enabled with a download speed of up to 150Mbps. Other connectivity options onboard are Bluetooth, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 3G HSPA+, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB with OTG. It is backed by a non-removable 3,030mAh battery with fast charging support.

Last month, Infinix launched Note 2 X600 in Nigeria and Kenya. The device features a 6-inch HD display, packs a 1.3GHz octa-core chipset with 2GB RAM, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
