UMi is one of the few Chinese phone manufacturer that is hardly known or recognize beyond China border, but its great impact in terms of producing super cheap phones with great specs sits it among Queens in its homeland. The firm has does it again with its newly launched smartphone named Iron Pro. As its name suggest, the Iron Pro is wrapped in an aluminium body that slightly weight less than 150 grams (148 grams to be precise), with a thickness 7.9mm, making it one of the lightest out there.

It posses latest features that's currently governing smartphone markets, one of which is Iris Scanner a.k.a Eyeprint ID. We've seen few smartphones debuted with this functionality, Fujitsu Arrows NFX F-04G, ZTE Grand S3, Vivo X5 Pro just to mention, but the price tag at which UMi is giving out its device outshine them all, and it doesn't ends there. The Iron Pro also packs a fingerprint sensor at the back for smarter security and authentication. The combination of Eyeprint ID and fingerprint sensor on one device guarantees not only safety from prying eyes, but a solid privacy.

The UMi Iron Pro is a high-end device in terms of specifications, it features a 5.5-inch display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, flaunting a pixel density of 403ppi. It is driven by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor of unknown clock speed, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. A 16GB storage sits inside which can be expanded up to 64GB via MicroSD card.

In photography aspect, the Iron Pro sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor and twin-LED flash, while a secondary 8-megapixel camera is placed at the front, supported with a LED flash. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE Cat.4 (up to 150Mbps), 3G HSPA+, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,100mAh battery.

The UMi Iron Pro is priced at CN¥ 1129 which translates to roughly $179 USD (approx #36,000 NGN).
