Lava has announced a new affordable Android smartphone in India, Iris Fuel F1, a more powerful and bigger variant of Iris Fuel F1 Mini that was launched last month. The device is listed on the company website with a price tag of Rs 8,700 ($133 USD), however, its availability details is not revealed.
Specwise, the Iris Fuel F1 features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels, touting a pixel density of 196ppi. It offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Driving it on the inside is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 2GB of RAM.
There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 32GB). The main highlight of Iris Fuel F1 is its gigantic 4,000mAh battery, which according to Lava can deliver up to 30 hours of talk time and 20 days (480 hours) of standby time.
At the rear, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, while it comes equipped with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 3G HSPA+ (up to 21Mbps), GPRS/EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB and FM radio.
