Infinix Hot 2 X510 VS Hot X507

Infinix in partnership with Google has just announced its first Android One smartphone in six African countries including Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya, the Hot 2 X510, which is the successor of Hot X507. The firm has been teasing the device since the beginning of this month, tagging it as "TheHottestOne". Now, the TheHottestOne is here, we know you will probably want to find out more about this device if you are one of those still using Hot X507, what differentiate both, the advantages of Hot 2 X510 over Hot X507, what makes it really worth buying and many more. Below, we'll be comparing their key specifications, highlighting their major similarities and differences.

Hot 2 X510 -> 5-inch IPS display, HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution
Hot X507 -> 5-inch IPS display, FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution

Note: Both smartphones has 5-inch IPS display quite alright which is the average screen size of most device launched recently, but, Hot 2 X510 beats X507 in display resolution. Images on the first will looks sharper and more vivid than on second. Also, most of applications fits well on HD screen than on other lower resolution.

Processor And RAM:

Hot 2 X510 -> 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, 1GB/2GB RAM
Hot X507 -> 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM

Note: Same processor powered the device, and yes at same clock speed. Though both has 1GB of RAM, Infinix offers 2GB RAM version for Hot 2 X510 which cost slightly more than base version. The option to choose between 1GB and 2GB RAM makes X510 worth considering.

Hot 2 X510 -> 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash; 2-megapixel front camera
Hot X507 -> 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash; 2-megapixel front camera

Note: Hot X507 rear megapixel has been increased from 5 to 8 in Hot 2 X510. This means you can capture image in larger pixel, picture quality may differs as well. The front camera remains the same, probably not meant for selfie but for video calling.

Hot 2 X510 -> 8GB/16GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB
Hot X507 -> 16GB of built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB

Note: Infinix offers 8GB storage version for X510 but we doubt if people will option for it more than 16GB version. Pricing do have a major role to play though.

Hot 2 X510 -> Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM), Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB
Hot X507 -> Dual-SIM (GSM+GSM), Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB

Note: Nothing changes here.

Hot 2 X510 -> 2,200mAh battery
Hot X507 -> 2,000mAh battery

Note: Hot 2 X510 has got more in power sector than X507. It will render more talk time and standby time than its predecessor.

Operating System:

Hot 2 X510 -> Android 5.1 Lollipop
Hot X507 -> Android 4.4.2 KitKat

Note: Lollipop is the latest in town, though its time is running out as Google unveiled Android 6.0 Mashwallow today. Lollipop offers more features and customization than KitKat, X510 having something more up-to-date makes it a king in this aspect.

Hot 2 X510 -> 1GB RAM/8GB Storage version costs #17,500 NGN; 2GB RAM/16GB Storage version costs #19,500 NGN
Hot X507 -> #17,500 NGN

Note: At these price range, Infinix Hot 2 X510 really kills it. We consider it as one of the cheapest average-specd smartphone currently available besides Zero X506. With that specs, you probably won't want to go for Hot X507.

The Infinix Hot 2 X510 does really worth it afterall, may not be the HOTTEST but it meets the price.
