LG Launches Its First Windows Phone 8.1 Smartphone, LG Lancet

The Korean tech company LG, has launched its first Windows Phone 8.1 running smartphone exclusively on Verizon Wireless mobile network carrier in US named as LG Lancet. The handset will be available with a price tag of $120 (approx #24,000 NGN) for SIM free (unlocked) version starting from 21st of May, however, there is no word if the device will cross US border.

Also, there is no confirmation yet if the smartphone will be upgradeable to Windows 10. The LG Lancet packs a 4.5-inch LCD display with a resolution of 480x854 pixels, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz slammed with 1GB of RAM.

The phone comes with an 8GB of built-in storage that is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card and offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, CDMA LTE (Verizon only), GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. At the rear, the LG Lancet harbours an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash while there is a VGA camera at the front for video calling.

The smartphone includes a 2100mAh battery. It comes in blue color option.
