Micromax Launches Canvas Tab P480 Voice Calling Tablet With 3G

Micromax on Friday has launched a new Android tablet in India dubbed as Canvas Tab P480. It is priced at Rs 6,999 ($112 USD) and will go on sale starting from next week.

The Canvas Tab P480 offers voice calling option via a dedicated two SIM slots and support 3G. It features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz slammed with 1GB of RAM.

Notably, the Canvas Tab P480 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box but is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop as claimed by Micromax which is crucial at that price range. It touts a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash at the rear while it houses a 2-megapixel camera at the front.

There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard that can be expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options included are Wifi with Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P480 will be available in Blue and White color variants.
