LG G4 Officially Launched - Specifications, Features, And Availability


LG has officially took the wrap off its 2015 flagship smartphone, G4. The gadget was unveiled on Tuesday at launch events that took place in London, Paris, Singapore, Instanbul, Seoul, and New York. However, pricing details is still withhold. The LG G4 will go on sale starting from 29th of April in Korea and will rollout globally next month.

The LG G4 as previously rumoured features a 5.5-inch IPS Quantum display with a QHD resolution of 1440x2560 pixels touting a pixel density of 538ppi. The Quantum technology as said by the firm offers more colors and brightness by 25% and increase contrast by 50% when compare with all other display.

The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with LG new UX 4.0. It is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz alongside with 3GB of RAM while there is a 32GB of built-in storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 2TB via MicroSD card.

LG new budget does not only packs a powerful processor and a brilliant display but is also photocentric. It houses a 16-megapixel laser autofocus camera with f/1.8 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilization) that is capable of recording 4K (2560p) video while there is an 8-megapixel selfie-enabled camera at the front.

Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), 2G, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, and GLONASS. It is backed by a 3000mAh removable battery which is first of its kind in G series and a rare value when compares with other recent flagship such as Samsung Galaxy S6 and Sony Xperia Z4 that packs a non-removable battery. The device comes pre-installed with Google Office and offer 100GB of free Google Drive storage for 2 years.

LG G4 will be available in two variants, plastic back version and leather back version.
