Smartwatches tends to keep us at alert and informed when our smartphones are no where around or are not within our reach. However, not all smartwatch needs to be connected with a smartphone for it to function, there are some that even function as a phone like iMacwear M7. Pebble may not belong to the second category but it does belong to the first.

Almost 70% of Smartwatches released runs Android Wear OS but again Pebble does not. The firm begins in 2013 on Kickstarter which accept them with open arms and have now gain lots of attentions. Pebble has added a new series to its watch-line dubbed as Time. The watch was announced by the firm on Tuesday and will start shipping from May at $159 USD.

The Pebble Time features a color E-ink display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection which reduces power consumptions and tends to provide up to 7 days usage on single charge. It sports a stainless steel bezel and any 22mm strap will easily fit its handle. The watch works with both Android (Android 4.0+) and iOS 8.0+ smartphones and its built-in microphone makes it easier to reply incoming notifications like SMS, Gmail, Facebook Messenger and more via voice. The Pebble Time comes with an upgraded operating system that offers more customizations than the previous release and it is waterproof certify.

The smartwatch will be available in three different colours White, Black, and Red.
