Lava Launches QPad R704 With 7-inch Display And Voice Calling Option

The Chinese mobile manufacturer Lava, has launched a low cost Android tablet in India, the QPad R704. The device support voice calling and its priced at Rs 8,499 (Roughly $140 US Dollars, NGN 23,000 Nigerian Nairas).


The QPad R704 features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels and runs the dated Android 4.3 Jelly bean out-of-the-box, the OS is upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM. There is 8GB internal storage onboard that is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The QPad R704 houses a 2-megapixel rear snapper and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options included are Wifi with Hotspot, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, OTG, Micro-USB and FM radio. It packs a 3,500mAh battery, capable of giving up to 300 hours of standby time.

Last month, Lava launched a dual-SIM enabled Android tablet dubbed as IvoryE. The device is driven by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean.
