Archos Launch Windows Phone 8.1 And Android 4.4 KitKat Running Smartphones And Tablets

Last week, the French phone maker Archos launched its 80 Helium 4G tablet in UK, but the company has proceed further in launching two new tablets and two smartphones, three of which runs Android OS while the fourth runs Windows Phone 8.1. The 45c Platinum, 50b Platinum, 101 Oxygen, and 80 Celsium. The 45c Platinum and 50b Platinum smartphone is priced at GBP 99 (approx $164) and GBP 119 (approx $197), while the 101 Oxygen and 80 Celsium 80 tablets is priced at GBP 199 (approx $330) and GBP 129 (approx $214) respectively. The new devices are expected to be available starting from September.

The Archos 50b Platinum features a 5-inch qHD display, it offers dual SIM functionality and run android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, slammed with 512MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD. On its rear is an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, and it also sports a 2-megapixel secondary front camera. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 1900mAh battery.

Archos 45c Platinum
Unlike the Archos 50b Platinum, the dual SIM 45c Platinum features a smaller 4.5-inch FWVGA display, but also run Android 4.4.2 KitKat. It is powered by quad-core processor of unknown chipset, clocked at 1.3GHz alongside with 512MB of RAM. The new Archos smartphone sports a 5-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash, while there is a 2-megapixel front camera onboard. It comes with a 4GB built-in storage with external storage support. The Archos 45c Platinum comes with same connectivity options found on 50b platinum, it is backed by a 1700mAh battery.

Archos 101 Oxygen
Thirdly, the Archos 101 Oxygen is a 10.1-inch tablet with a full-HD resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. It also runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and comes with 16GB built-in storage.

The 101 Oxygen is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A17, slammed with 1.5GB of RAM. Other specs is yet disclosed.

And lastly, the 80 Celsium is an 8-inch Windows Phone 8.1 tablet with 1200x800 pixels resolution, full specs of the device is yet to be revealed as well. Archos also revealed a 4-inch Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone, the 40 Celsium, which is priced at GBP 79 (approx $131). The smartphone will be available starting from October.
