Nvidia Unwrapped Its Shield Tablets With Tegra K1 SoC And 1080p HD Display

Nvidia has finally unwrapped its long rumoured Shield tablet alongside with its wireless controller for gaming dubbed as Nvidia Shield. Notably, the Xiaomi Mipad Tablet which was launched in May comes with the same chipset.

The gaming tablet features an 8-inch display with a HD screen resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and sport front facing speakers.

The Nvidia shield is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Tegra K1 processor featuring 192-core Kepler GPU, slammed with 2GB of RAM. The tablet comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB. Other features include Nvidia ShadowPlay which enable users to capture gaming moment and share them via video platform Twitch.

The Nvidia Shield also comes with LTE functionality and there's WiFi connectivity onboard too. The tablet provide unique gaming capability and its specifically made for high-end gamers.

It is currently available for pre-order at a price tag of £239.99 for 16GB version with WiFi only, and £299.99 for 32GB version with LTE support. The wireless Shield controller can also be purchase at £49.99.
