Xolo Era 2X with Fingerprint Scanner, 4G VoLTE Introduced in India

Xolo today has launched a new budget smartphone in India, Era 2X, succesor of Era 2 that was released last year. The phone houses a fingerprint sensor at the back that enable users to lock and unlock without entering passcode as well as launched custom pre-configured apps with each fingerprint registered.

Just like its predecessor, the new Xolo smartphone supports 4G LTE as well VoLTE. It features a 5.0-inch IPS On-Cell display with a HD resolution of 1280x720 pixel and pixel density of 294ppi. Xolo is offering the phone in 2GB and 3GB RAM variants, both packing a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.25GHz, slammed with Mali-T720 GPU. It includes a 16GB of built-in storage that can expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

At the back, the Era 2X is installed with an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, while a 5-megapixel selfie camera is placed at the front. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and there are two SIM slots inside for dual use. Apart from 4G VoLTE, other connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi with Hotspot, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The Xolo Era 2X with 2GB RAM costs Rs 6,666 ($98), while the 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 7,499 ($110). Both will be exclusively available on FlipKart from next week.
