Ulefone Gemini with Dual Rear Cameras, 5.5" 1080p Display Announced

Ulefone Gemini

Ulefone has launched a new mid-end smartphone in China called Gemini. The phone is the company's first to sports dual rear cameras, a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel camera for measuring depth of field, both aligned vertically with dual-LED flash placed inbetween.

The Ulefone Gemini runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, but the company promise to release Android 7.0 Nougat update in the near future. It features a 5.5-inch capacitive touch display made by Sharp with full-HD (1920x1080) resolution, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor with 1.5GHz clock speed, paired with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.

The phone houses a 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD card. There are two SIM slots included with supports of 4G LTE, and there is a fingerprint sensor embed on top of the home button for smart security and authentication. Other connectivity options that Gemini offers are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G, 2G, GPS, and Micro-USB. It measures 154.5x76.8×9.1mm, weighs 172 grams, and is backed by a 3250mAh non-removable battery.

The phone is painted in Black, Gold, and Grey colors. It is available for order at selected online stores at a price of US$139.99 and will be dispatch in February.
