UMi is going gaga this December with the launch of its new flagship smartphone, the UMi Z. The phone is claimed to be world's first to use MediaTek Helio X27 processor, which happens to be true as the Helio X27 was announced few weeks back and so far there hasn't been any device that boasts of it. Besides its highly efficient processor the phone also sports dual-focus rear-facing camera with "Quad" LED flash.

The UMi Z features a 5.5-inch IGZO display made by Sharp with full-HD (1920x1080) resolution, 95% NTSC color gamut and 441ppi pixel density. It is powered by a 10-core MediaTek Helio X27 (MT6797X) processor with a clock speed of 2.6GHz, slammed with 4GB of RAM and Mali-T880 GPU. The device comes with a 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via MicroSD card.

Although the UMi Z runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, UMi promise to release Android 7.0 Nougat OTA update later in the future. The device offers dual SIM functionality and both SIM slots supports 4G LTE. Sitting at the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with Laser Auto Focus, Phase Detection Auto Focus and quad-LED flash, while another 13-megapixel camera is equipped at the front, also accompanied with a soft LED flash.

It house a fingerprint sensor beneath the physical home button at the front and there is Smart PA Audio onboard. Other connectivity options included apart from 4G LTE are Bluetooth, WiFi 802.11ac, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type-C. It is backed by a 3780mAh Sony battery with PE+ Quick Charge.

The UMi Z will be available for pre-orders starting from December 26 at a price of $279.99. It is expected to start shipping early next year.
