Once upon a time, Kodak was one of the most respectable company in camera and filming industry and is widely recognized globally, but as everything that has a beginning must surely have an end, it was stormed by the unperceived digital age, a sudden turn around that took the company back to its root. The volume was tuned anticlockwise for this firm and all that were left of them became a whisper as the world fully dive into modern age.

But something happened in early 2015, a sound more than a whisper was uttered from this once great body as it crawls its way to catch up with the unending revolutionary world by joining the new worldly-accepted platform, Android. It board Android fast-moving train in January 2015 with the launch of IM5, a camera-centric smartphone. The light burnt for a while and then all went back to how it was before. But now, Kodak has again rise to show the world that it still exist by announcing its second Android-powered smartphone called Ektra.

For oldies who are into camera stuffs Ektra might ring a bell, this is because the firm had once launched a device with that name. As can be expected from a company whose foundation was entirely laid on photography, the Ektra brings a new perception to mobile. Its design especially its curved edge on which a manual shutter button sits on explicitly differentiate it from other smartphones we have ever seen. The steel-rimmed lens module can be seen protruding on the rear which was lined with a leather material. Apart from its manual shutter button, the Ektra also comes with manual shutter speed and iso control.
