Intex has launched a new budget smartphone with 4G LTE and VoLTE under its Aqua series in India called Aqua Secure. The "Secure" in its naming denote the security features it offers despite its entry-level specs. The Aqua Secure is Intex first smartphone to sports a fingerprint sensor, and it also comes with a USB Type-C port, yet at a cheap price of Rs 6,499 ($93 USD).

It features a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854x480 pixels, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735M clocked at 1.0GHz, coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. An 8GB of storage sits inside, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The dual-SIM enabled Aqua Secure is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi with Hotspot, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE and GPS. It is fuelled by a 1900mAh battery.

The Intex Aqua Secure comes in two colour options, Gold and Grey. It will be available at online and offline stores across the region in coming days.
