HP Spectre

That awkward moment we thought nothing can get slimmer on HP side in Spectre line-up and yet we are faced with another innovation extremely different from what the company has offers in the past. The newly introduced HP Spectre (or HP Spectre 13) is not a convertible tablet this time around, but a full Windows (Windows 10) laptop made mostly of carbon fibre (with black aluminium sitting on the led) to bring its streamline shape into focus without undermining its overall weightness, which is just 1.1 kilograms. The laptop measure just 10.4mm on its thickest side, something we haven't seen on any Windows laptop yet and even the Macbooks. As at now, the HP Spectre remains the world's slimmest laptop (no objection).

While its gorgeous body is enough to assure anyone how premium it is, the Spectre doesn't lose its value on the inside as well. With it comes a 13.3-inch full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) panel protected on the surface with Corning Gorilla Glass. The protected glass layer has a thickness of 0.4mm, which should be enough to withstand minor hit and hard-press scratches. HP is offering customers different configurations depending on their choice, an Intel Core i5 or i7, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of SSD storage.

As can be seen on the back (picture above), the Spectre includes three USB Type-C ports, two of which supports Thunderbolt. Wifi and Bluetooth wireless connectivity should be onboard as well but this is not mentioned. The battery included can deliver up to 9.5 hours of use in a single charge, according to HP.

The HP Spectre will be available for pre-order at a starting price of $1,169 USD on HP website from 25th of April in selected regions. It will start shipping in May.
