Samsung Galaxy J3 2016 front-and-back

Samsung today has launched 2016 edition of its Galaxy J3 smartphone in India, packing a more powerful processor and has a new feature called S Bike Mode. The S Bike Mode is primarily meant for bikers, letting users pre-record a message to be deliver when call is receive while driving. In addition, a motion sense feature included prevent bikers from answering calls unless they hit the brake. Ultra data saving mode powered by Opera Max also lets users save data consumption up to 50%.

The Galaxy J3 2016 when view from the back resembles Galaxy Grand Prime, with the ports (3.5mm audio jack and USB), power and volume buttons placed in exact position as it is on the later. Besides its slightly powerful processor, other specifications remains the same with its predecessor.

Specwise, the smartphone features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280x720) resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Spreadtrum SC9830 processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, coupled with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali 400 GPU. An 8GB of storage is placed inside with external storage support via MicroSD card (up to 128GB).

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It sports an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel selfie camera sits at the front. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, 3G, 2G, GPS, NFC and Micro-USB with OTG. A 2,600mAh battery turn it on.

The Galaxy J3 2016 is priced at Rs 8,990 ($134 USD) and will be exclusively available on e-commerce site Snapdeal starting from today (Thursday). It comes in White, Gold and Black color options.
