Acer Chromebook 14

Acer has made a new addition to its Chrome laptop portfolio named Chromebook 14. Unlike what we usually experience from entry Chrome armies that currently filled the market, the new device offers a premium-looking sleek body with full metal chassis decorating the inside. Acer has stepped up its game this time around by opting for a 14-inch display instead of 10-inch or 11-inch that seems to be the fixed size of most Chrome laptops previously released.

The 14-inch display comes in two resolution options, HD (1366x768) and full-HD (1920x1080), with the HD version claiming an awesome 14 hours of battery life, while the full-HD version can deliver up to 12 hours of battery life in a single charge. Besides it two options of display resolution, Acer is also giving out an option of quad-core Intel Celeron or dual-core Intel Celeron N3060, 2GB or 4GB LPDDR3 SDRAM, and 16GB or 32GB built-in eMMC storage, based on user choice.

The Chromebook 14 sports an HD webcam at the top of the display and offers Wifi 802.11ac (dual band) as wireless connectivity, HDMI-out port and 2x USB 3.1 Type-A ports as wired connectivity options. Though Acer is yet to revealed its availability details, the maximum configuration set-up (full-HD + 4GB RAM + 32GB storage) will costs about $300 USD when it start shipping. We can as well expect the basic set-up to cost nothing more than $250 USD when it go on sale.
