Intex Aqua Freedom

Intex today has added a new low-budget smartphone to its Aqua series in India named Aqua Freedom, wearing a price tag of Rs 5,790 ($85 USD). The phone is listed on the company webpage without availability details.

The Aqua Freedom packs a huge 3,000mAh battery which Intex claims can deliver up to 8-12 hours of talk time and 200-300 hours of standby time. It features a 5-inch IPS display with HD (1280x720 pixels) resolution and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. The smartphone is driven by a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and Mali 400 MP2 GPU.

It includes an 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. At the rear, the dual-SIM enabled Intex Aqua Freedom sports a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, while a 2-megapixel camera sits at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB with OTG. The device measures 144.4x72.5x8.65mm and weight 150 grams.

Earlier this week, Intex launched two affordable 4G-enabled Lollipop smartphones in India, Aqua Wing and Aqua Raze, priced at Rs 4,599 ($68 USD) and Rs 5,199 ($77 USD) respectively.
