ZTE Nubia Prague S

ZTE on Monday has introduced a new flagship smartphone in China named Nubia Prague S. It is priced at CN¥ 2499 ($380 USD) and is available for pre-orders on JD.com. No word on availability outside China.

The main highlight of the new device is its possession of eye scanner with Eyeprint ID recognition technology, a smarter way to lock and unlock the device without entering passcode. This is not the first time ZTE will make use of this feature, Grand S3 released in March last year also possess it. Most of ZTE Axon series also comes with it.

In physical aspect, the Nubia Prague S has a slim body profile of 6.8mm at its thickest point and weight just 135 grams. It features 5.2-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curve display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

It includes a 64GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD. The Nubia Prague S runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Nubia UI 3.0, and has hybrid dual SIM slots that enables the second SIM slot to be use as MicroSD card slot. A 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture is equipped at the rear, accompanied with a LED flash, while it sports an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front.

Connectivity options onboard includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wifi 802.11ac, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,200mAh battery with fast charging. The ZTE Nubia Prague S comes with AKM4375 HiFi audio chip, which is further enhanced with 7.1-channel Dolby audio for immense audio experience during playback.
