Metal-Clad Coolpad Max with 3GB RAM, Fingerprint Sensor Launched in China

Coolpad Max

Coolpad has launched Max, its latest smartphone in China, wearing a price tag of CN¥ 2499 ($377 USD). The device is listed on the company website for order while availability for global markets is not certain.

The Coolpad Max is wrapped in a metal body that has a thickness of 6.9mm and weight 175 grams. It features a 5.5-inch IPS 2.5D curve display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, and packs a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

It includes a 32GB of built-in storage which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 32GB). The Coolpad Max runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box, and has hybrid dual SIM slots that enables the second SIM slot to be use MicroSD card slot. In addition, it also posses a fingerprint sensor at the back for smart security and authentication.

Sitting at rear is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera occupies the front area. Connectivity options onboard includes Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 4G LTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE and GPS. It is backed by a 2800mAh battery.
