The all new LG Ray packs a 5.5" display in a 9.3mm curve metal body

LG Ray

LG has introduced a new smartphone to its affordable category dubbed LG Ray. The device is currently on sale in Russia at a price of RUB 990, which translates to roughly $228 USD. Pricing and availability for global markets is not yet known.

The LG Ray sports a curve metallic body that measures 152.5mm in length, 76.4mm in width, and a has body thickness of 9.3mm, bearing an overall weightness of 156 grams. It features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and packs a 32-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor clocked at 1.4GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM and Mali 450 GPU.

The device has a built-in storage of 16GB, which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Sitting at the back is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, while an 8-megapixel camera is equipped at the front for taking selfie. The LG Ray runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and has dual SIM functionality with support of 3G. Other connectivity options included are Bluetooth 3.0, Wifi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.

The LG Ray comes in three color options, Titan Black, Gold and Silver.
