Acer Predator 8 Gaming Tablet

Acer during IFA event in September announced its new gaming tablet, Predator 8, without mentioning its pricing and availability. The company however, has listed the device on its US online store and is now available for pre-orders at a price of $299.99 USD. There is no word yet on when it will start rolling out and availability for international markets.

The Acer Predator 8 (GT-810-15NC) features an 8-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with full-HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) resolution and 10-point multi-touch support. It is powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z8700 (X7) processor with a base clock speed of 1.6GHz that can turbo boost up to 2.4GHz, slammed with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and Intel HD Graphics. There is a 32GB of built-in storage onboard which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The Predator 8 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box but doesn't has SIM slot, which means it doesn't support voice calling. It comes equipped with four stereo speakers with Dolby Audio enhancement. A 5-megapixel camera is placed at the rear without LED flash, while it houses a 2-megapixel camera at the front.

Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and Micro-USB with OTG. The Predator 8 measures 5.51-inch (width) x 9.53-inch (height) and weight 0.78lb. It is backed by a 4,550mAh battery, which Acer claims can deliver us to 8.5 hours of usage in normal use.
