HP Envy Note 8 with keyboard

HP has launched a new convertible laptop/tablet device named Envy Note 8, the company's latest Windows 10 powered tablet. It comes with a Stylus Pen with a dedicated button that activate HP Instant Note pre-installed on the device, enabling fast access to taking note without having to navigate around. We've seen such functionality in some Samsung Galaxy Tab series. There is also an optional detachable keyboard that comes with the device dubbed Envy Note Keyboard Folio, endow in aluminium body. The keyboard has a click pad that let the tablet to be use in portrait or landscape when docked. The bundled Stylus can be hooked to a provided space at the side of the keyboard when not in use.

In terms of specifications, the HP Envy Note 8 features an 8-inch IPS display with full-HD (1920 ×1080 pixels) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is driven by a quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor with a clock speed of 1.44GHz that can turbo boost up to 1.8GHz, backed with Intel HD Graphics and 2GB of RAM. A 32GB storage is equipped inside which can be further expanded via MicroSD card (up to 64GB).

Notably, the Envy Note 8 has a SIM card slot with support of 4G . Sitting at the back is a 5-megapixel autofocus camera without LED flash, capable of recording videos in full-HD (1080p), while it sports a 2-megapixel camera at the front. Other connectivity options included besides 4G are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11ac, and USB with OTG. HP claims the battery that comes with the device can deliver up to 6.25 hours in single charge.

The HP Envy Note 8 will first be available in US starting from November 8 after which it roll out to other selected markets. It costs $329 USD (#65,500 NGN) for tablet and Stylus, and $429 USD (#85,400 NGN) for tablet, Stylus and Keyboard.
