Having launched its first Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone last month, Tecno Mobile has again introduced a new flagship device, Phantom 5. Nothing is said regarding its pricing and availability, but we expect it to go on before mid October.

Notably, the Phantom 5 is Tecno first smartphone to comes with a fingerprint sensor. This enable users to protect their files, lock/unlock their smartphone without entering any password or passcode. With introduction of Android Pay which is now integrated with Google Play latest version, the fingerprint may also proves useful for mobile payment in near future.

In specifications aspect, the Tecno Phantom 5 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with FHD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution, touting a pixel density of 401ppi. It offers dual-SIM (micro) functionality with dual standby and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Diving in, the smartphone is driven by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside with 3GB of RAM, Mali-T720 GPU and 32GB built-in storage.

Besides its brilliant display, powerful processor and huge RAM, the Phantom 5 doesn't lose its stand when it comes to photograpy. It posses a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor and LED flash at the rear, capable of recording full-HD (1080) video, while an 8-megapixel camera is equipped at the front for selfie. Connectivity options provided are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
