Oppo R7 Lite

Oppo on Wednesday unleashed a new budget smartphone in India named R7 Lite, which is a smaller version of R7 and the smallest in R7 series. The device is priced at Rs 17,990 (US$281) and will be available from next week.

The Oppo R7 Lite features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with ColorOS 2.1 and has a hybrid dual-SIM slots that enables users to use second SIM card slot as MicroSD slot. Diving in, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

It comes with a 16GB of built-in storage that is expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD slot and offers 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G HSPA+, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB as connectivity options. The Oppo R7 Lite houses a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, Sony IMX214 sensor and LED flash at the rear, while it is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture at the front. A 2,320mAh battery turn it on.

Along with R7 Lite, Oppo also launched R7 Plus in India at a price of Rs 29,990 (US$468). The R7 Plus was first released in China in May.
