Micromax Announce Partnership With MediaTek

Micromax has announced its partnership with MediaTek in an event organized by the firm today in India. It made it known that it'll be launching a new budget smartphone very soon which will possess Helio X10 chipset, the likes seen on high-budget smartphones i.e HTC One ME, Sony Xperia M5. During the event, Micromax also unveiled a new entry-level smartphone named Canvas Fire 4G, however, its pricing and availability is not disclosed.

The Micromax Canvas Fire 4G features a 4.5-inch FWVGA (854 x 480 pixel) IPS display and packs a quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor with a clock speed of 1.0GHz, slammed with 1GB of RAM. It offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box. The device comes with an 8GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

At the rear, the Canvas Fire 4G is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, while it harbours a 2-megapixel camera at the front. Just like its name suggest, the smartphone support 4G LTE. Other connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. The Canvas Fire 4G battery capacity is still under wrap.
