After much tease, Xolo has finally launched its much anticipated smartphone (of the year?) under its new series named BLACK. This is the first flagship to be launched by the firm in 2015, Xolo has put more effort to make it appealing to users as much as possible by giving out their best yet at a throw-away price. The Xolo BLACK launched today is the first generation and more are expected to debut under same series as time goes on.

The smartphone will go on sale exclusively on Flipkart starting from 13th of July with a price tag of Rs 12,999 ($203 USD), however, Xolo First customer can get their hands on one a day before the selling day by registering on the firm website.

So, what does the phone posses? Firstly, it sports a oleophobic coating at the back that neutralize stains and smudge. Also, there's a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the back which further protect it from breakage. The device features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display which is also protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor slammed with 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

The Xolo BLACK runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-top topped with Hive UI 1.5 and offers dual-SIM functionality with hybrid technology, enabling the second SIM slot to be also use as MicroSD card slot. There is a 13-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear accompanied with another 2-megapixel camera for depth sensing, while it bears a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Both the front and rear camera includes LED flash.

There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options included with Xolo BLACK are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G (HSPA+), 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,200mAh battery with no words on talk time and standby time.
