LG Launches G4 Beat With Octa-Core Chipset, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 4G LTE

LG has launched a new mid-budget to its flagship portfolio named G4 Beat. The smartphone will first go on sale in Europe and Latin America which includes Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, India, Russia, Singapore, South Africa and Turkey this month after which it will roll out globally. The firm further confirms that G4 Beat will be called G4s in Europe and CIS region. However, its pricing is yet to be announced.

The LG G4 Beat is an upgraded variant and successor of G3 Beat that was launched in June last year. In comparison with LG G4, the G4 Beat specifications is quite low in all aspects but they sports similar design.

Physically, LG G4 Beat measures 142.7 x 72.6 x 9.85mm and weight 139 grams. It features a 5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) IPS touchscreen display and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Diving in, the device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz alongside with 1.5GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

There's an 8GB of built-in storage onboard which can be further expanded via MicroSD card. At the rear, the G4 Beat bears a 13-megapixel or 8-megapixel laser autofocus camera (region dependent) accompanied with LED flash, while it is equipped with a 5-megapixel selfie-enabled camera at the front. On the connectivity front, the device support 4G LTE, Wifi, Bluetooth 4.1, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,300mAh removable Li-ion battery.

The phone will be available in Ceramic White, Metallic Silver, and Shining Gold color variants.
