iBall Unveils Cobalt Solus2, Andi HD6 Budget Smartphones

iBall Cobalt Solus2, Andi HD6

iBall has silently launched two new smartphones in India, Cobalt Solus2 and Andi HD6. The device along with their specifications are listed on the firm webpage, however, pricing and availability details are not mentioned. We expect both to go on sale later this month.

The iBall Cobalt Solus2 (left hand in above picture) is an upgraded variant of Andi 5Q Cobalt Solus that was launched in January this year. It features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels, flaunting a pixel density of 272ppi. It support dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Diving in, the smartphone is driven by an octa-core processor (chipset unspecified) clocked at 1.7GHz alongside with 2GB of RAM. At the rear, the Cobalt Solus2 packs a 13-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash while it bear a 5-megapixel selfie-enabled camera at the front. It comes with a huge 32GB of built-in storage that can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

On the connectivity front, the device support Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi with Hotspot, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB, and FM radio. It is backed by a 2,100mAh battery.

The iBall Andi HD6 (right side in above picture) also support dual-SIM and runs Android 4.4 KitKat as well, but it features a larger 6-inch IPS display sporting same HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution. It is powered by a lower quad-core processor of 1.3GHz clock speed, slammed with 1GB of RAM. It includes an 8GB of internal storage which is also expandable to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The Andi HD6 bears an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear accompanied with a LED flash while it is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options remains the same with Cobalt Solus2. A 3,000mAh battery turn on the device.
