Samsung has officially launched its new entry-level Android tablet that was leaked last week, the Galaxy Tab E. The device is listed on the firm website with a price tag of NT$ 6,990 (approx $226 USD) and will first hit Korea this month before it begins to roll-out to other regions.

In physical aspect, the Galaxy Tab E measure 241.9 x 149.5 x 8.5 and weight 450 grams. It features a 9.6-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution 1280 x 800 pixels and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Diving in, the tablet is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (chipset unspecified) slammed with 1.5GB of RAM. It includes an 8GB of built-in storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

At the rear, the Galaxy Tab E packs a 5-megapixel autofocus camera without LED flash while it bears a 2-megapixel camera at the front. This tablet support Wifi only and doesn't offers voice calling but we expect 3G version to debut very soon. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, and USB. It is backed by a 5000mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E is pre-loaded with Microsoft Office app which includes Powerpoint, Excel, and Word.
