Yu, a sub brand of Micromax and a strong competitor of OnePlus, has officially launched its second flagship in an event that took place in Delhi on Tuesday, the Yu Yuphoria. The smartphone is priced at Rs 6,999 ($112 USD, #22,300 NGN) and will be exclusively available for purchase on Amazon India via flash sale, the first of which will begin on 25th of May. Availability for global market is yet to be disclose.

The Yu Yuphoria is a successor of Yu Yureka that was launched in December last year. It is tout as one of the cheapest smartphone to comes with premium built body encompass with metal frame and noble specifications. The phone offers dual-SIM functionality and runs Cyanogen 12 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.

It features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720x1280 pixels which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the gadget is driven by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 306GPU. The Yu Yuphoria packs a 16GB of internal storage with external storage support via MicroSD card.

At the rear, the handset harbours an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, f/2.2 lens and LED flash while it sports a 5-megapixel selfie-enabled front camera. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), Wifi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2230mAh battery.

The Yu Yuphoria will be available in two color variants, Buffed Steel and Champagne Gold.
