Lava Iris X1 Atom

Lava has added a new smartphone to its Iris category in India named as Iris X1 Atom. The budget was unveiled on Friday and will be available in coming days with a price tag of Rs 4,444 ($71 USD).

The Iris X1 Atom is the fourth device in X1 series to be launch by the firm after Iris X1, Iris X1 Beat, Iris X1 Grand and Iris X1 Mini. The smartphone features a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels touting a pixel density of 233ppi. It support dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box which Lava claims is upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Under the hood, the Iris X1 Atom is driven by a quad-core processor (unspecified) with a clock speed of 1.2GHz coupled with 512MB of RAM. It houses a 5-megapixel camera at the rear while it is also equipped with a VGA front camera for video chat.

There is a 4GB of internal storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. On the connectivity front, the Iris X1 Atom support 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is powered by a 1750mAh battery.
